durch eine Gruppe von Kunsthandwerkern, die in Santiago de Chile, der südwestlichsten Ecke Südamerikas, leben. Hier werden die fantasievollen Farbmischungen von Hand und auf traditionelle Weise auf die Garne aufgebracht: Kein Strang sieht aus wie andere - jeder Strang ein Unikat! Araucania hat das traditionelle Handfärben wiederbelebt und bietet auf diese Weise vielen Menschen, die sonst keine Chance gehabt hätten, neue berufliche Möglichkeiten, ihre Fähigkeiten weiterzuentwickeln. Das Unternehmen ist stolz darauf, im Jahre 2002 mit nur drei Mitarbeitern begonnen zu haben und nun auf 20 Mitarbeiter angewachsen zu sein.
