Safety Advices, Warning:
Depending on the mode of operation (drive current, pulse duration, optics etc.), these devices may emit highly concentrated non visible infrared light with radiance levels which can be considered harmful, hazardous to the human eye. Products which incorporate these devices have to follow the safety precautions given in IEC 60825-1 and IEC 62471. When operating powerful emitters, care should be taken to comply with IEC to minimize any possible eye hazard:
- Use lowest possible drive level.
- Use diffusing optics where posiible.
- Avoid staring into powerful emitters or connected fibers.
- Don't look into beam! Invisible radiation. Class III B laser-like product.
