Vishay TSAL4400 - High power 940nm 3mm IR (infrared) GaAlAs/GaAs LED (emitter) - 940 nm 3 mm infrared LEDs, ROHS.

high radiant power - total radiant flux 35 mW (according to data sheet), 23.1 mW (measured at 100 mA, after 60 s warm-up). Our results are slightly below those of the manufacturer, but are far more practical and make it easier to compare different LEDs.

Description:

TSAL4400 is a high efficiency infrared emitting diode in GaAlAs on GaAs technology, molded in clear, bluegrey tinted plastic packages.

In comparison with the standard GaAs on GaAs technology these emitters achieve about 100% radiant power improvement at a similar wavelength. The forward voltages at low current and at high pulse current roughly correspond to the low values of the standard technology. Therefore these emitters are ideally suitable as high performance replacements of standard emitters.

A high-performance infrared emitter whose peak wavelength is 940nm. This high-output infrared LED is a perfect light source for various kinds of security systems that need higher radiation. They also can be used in products ranging from TV remotes and auto-focus cameras to electronic gates.
