The following libraries are included:

1) German Harpsichord 1738

German_Harpsichord_1738_Front

The German Harpsichord 1738 library features one of the very few preserved historical German harpsichords, a very beautiful sounding instrument built by Christian Vater. The instrument - built in Hannover in 1738 - features very mellow low end and rich low mids, combined with majestic upper harmonics and a delicate treble range. It resides at the Germanische Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg.

Like all harpsichords, it is not touch-sensitive. However, no note will sound exactly the same twice. We captured eight samples per note. Furthermore, we recorded four key release sounds per key. The harpsichord is presented in its original Valotti-tuning at 392 Hz, capturing all three register variations (both single 8' stops plus their combination recorded together). Presets at 440 Hz are also available.

The sample library contains nearly 2.000 single recordings.

2) German Harpsichord 1741

The German Harpsichord 1741 library features a harpsichord built by Christian Zell in 1741. The instrument provides an elusive majestic texture and beautiful upper mid harmonics unlike any other harpsichord. It is based at the Organeum in the Northern Germany.

The sample library features 6 sounds sampled seperately - the front and a rear 8' stops, both together, the 4' stop, Lautenzug and the Tutti combination. It is available its Bach-Kellner tuning at 399 Hz (presets at 440 Hz also available).

Like all harpsichords, the keys are not touch-sensitive. However, no note will sound exactly the same due to different resonances of body and strings. We captured the sound with up to eight samples per note. Furthermore, we recorded 4 key release sounds per key.

The sample library contains nearly 3.300 single recordings.
