Korean Chungju (Celadon)

The beautiful Korean Celadon (Chungja) came to Korea from China about 900^th. The unique Celadon (Jade) color and shape has evolved over time in the Goryo dynasty (900-1390). The natural lines, the simple design and the noble harmonized green-blue color are a typical characteristic of Korean Chungja.

Chungja is porcelain with wonderfully-beautiful jade color, which at the time of Goryo Dynasty reached its heyday around 1200^th.

Korean Beaky (White Ceramic)

The white Joseon porcelain (also known as Joseon Baekja) was prevalent during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) in Korea and is now popular again.

At the time of the Joseon Dynasty (1390-1900) white porcelain was favored in society and was more popular than others porcelains. The confucian doctrine dominated at that time in culture and philosophy.

The white Beakja porcelain reflects the pragmatism and the simplicity of the confucian doctrine.
