Part 5 in our series Bill Haley & Friends concentrates on The Tyrones, a Northern Band Rock & Roll group from Philadelphia, PA. The connection not only results from their local background, but because The Comets backed them in their own studio on several of their recordings, Bill Haley wrote some of the songs and sax player Al Dean helped Bill Haley out in the studio. Al Dean founding member of The Tyrones with his brother Tyrone, even became a member of The Comets for a few month and can be heard on a live radio show from Lima, peru (1960) which is released here for the very first time.
