Robbins went blind at the age of four, and became a musical education at the Nashville School for the Blind. He got infected by the Rock & Roll and Country virus and soon he recorded his first self written songs for publisher Murray Nash. Some of these songs from his early career as Mel Robbins are included in this album for the first time including unreleased songs and takes. His Rockabilly classics like “Save It”, “Joyride”, … are included as well as some 1950´s Teen songs and instrumentals. The word got around in Nashville, that Hargus Robbins was a versatile piano player, and after playing on George Jones number 1 hit “White Lightnin´” he soon became a member of the A-Team of Nashville´s Session players. Now, known as “Pig” Robbins he followed up by playing on another 300! Number 1 Hits, some own hits and various Awards including an invitation into the “Country Music Hall Of Fame”.

Mel Hargus “Pig” Robbins is a true Nashville legend.
