Liverpool bits are used for city harnessing,
City driving is basically only possible with collar driving. If possible with heavy built, large caliber, powerful so-called body horses in front of large painted cars. Used to be driven with certain colours, corresponding to the horse's colours: white horse wine-red paint, foxes green and brown/cap with dark blue carriages. But dark carriages go well with all horse colours. Square lamps belong to city carriages.
All fittings are silver, chromed or stainless steel and the Achenbach line is brown. Liverpool, elbow, Buxton and Tilbury curbs and the bow whip are used. The owner always uses a trestle blanket. According to the old custom, the owner of the carriage drives with a grey cylinder and polished chains. The hired coachman is only allowed to drive with a black cylinder or black bowler (melon) and instead of the polished chains, use black leather holders.
Carriages are divided into self-propelled carriages, which are driven by the Lord, and carriages, which are driven by the coachman
So that the lines of the front horses do not get caught in the curb trees of the pole horses, the rear horses are ridden with foam-bow curb horses.
