With this live CD, the Concert Band of German Armed Forces continues its series with recordings of German music.

The focal point of the recordings from the concert on 19 October 2017 in the Augsburg Congress Center is the great Lohengrin fantasy based on motifs and themes from the eponymous opera by Richard Wagner. Here, the arranger, Guido Rennert, managed a comprehensive and multi-colored staging of the equally popular and famous musicc from Wagner. 

The "Jubelouvertüre" op. 59 by Carl Maria von Weber is one of the most technically challenging symphonic orchestras. As a symphonic wind orchestra, the Musikkorps presents the rarely played Overture in original key and also in the arrangement of Guido Rennert.
