Detail 100 Historical Relics in Vilnius Over the past 100 years, the government in Vilnius has changed as many as 14 times. Each corn earlier signs left and created his own. Many antiquities were destroyed by urbanization and time. However, the city still contains a number of historical relics, dating back to the GDL and the ATR epochs of the Russian Empire and the inter-war period. This book invites you to discover the living history of the city, which tells a foundation of the table, remains of buildings, inscriptions, monograms, coats of arms, monuments, and decor items. They reveal that the old Vilnius history is different from the overly romanticized, mythologized and Lithuanianised versions often found in historical outlines and tourist brochures. Historical relics resembling a detective search significantly extends the tourist city topography, usually limited to 10-15 places, and calls to rummage further from the central streets.
