It discusses the origins of the artist's work: family environment, Hebrew cultural traditions, Litvak art, Lithuanian wooden sculpture, French school of color. The themes that shaped the distinctiveness of the creative style of the artist R. Savicks are analyzed: guardians, Old Testament Hebrew motifs, urban landscapes, figurative compositions, sea views and motifs reflecting music. The peculiarities of creative evolution, specific features and expressions of artistic style, peculiarities of the concept of color are highlighted.
