As his faithful friend and assistant, she was an inspiration for many of his works. Delektorskaya's face was captured in his oil paintings, drawings and printed graphics. The exhibits which she gave to the Hermitage have extraordinarily enriched the collection of works by Henri Matisse and made it most diverse and complete in the world.
