Hallo meine Lieben,

ja, ihr habt ja recht, es ist noch ein wenig hin bis Halloween - meine diesjährige Halloweenfärbung gibt es allerdings auf Vorbestellung, damit jeder die Chance hat einen oder zwei Stränge zu ergattern. Und deswegen gibt es schon diese Woche ein Halloweenupdate :)

Rechts im Bild seht ihr sie, die Halloweenfärbung für 2018: Warlock. Ab morgen könnt ihr sie vorbestellen und dann mache ich mich ans Färben. Gefärbt wird sie auf meinen Bot Socks, da sich diese Sonderfarbe hervorragend zum Stricken von Socken eignet: Die eine Hälfte des Stranges ist schwarz gefärbt, die andere Hälfte rot, lila und grün gespeckelt. Nun könnt ihr entscheiden, ob ihr euch Socken stricken möchtet, die ihr dann an Halloween tragen könnt oder aber erst an diesem Tag ein Projekt aus diesem Garn anschlagt ;)

Passend dazu habe ich auf den Mini Bots auch Halloween Kits für euch: Insgesamt enthält ein solches Päckchen 6 Ministränge à ca. 10g in den Farben Grapefruit (orange), Wizard (lila) und Don't be shy (grün). Diese Farben passen wunderbar zu Warlock und ich habe gleich ganz viele Ideen, was man alles daraus zaubern könnte: Bei Socken kann man natürlich für den Hauptteil Warlock verwenden und das Bündchen, die Ferse und die Spitze dann mit den Minis gestalten. Oder man strickt Socken mit Warlock, strickt aber jede zweite Runde mit einem der Minis. Oder man strickt kleine Kürbisse aus Grapefruit ;)

Kürbisse, mein Stichwort :) Passend zum Halloweenmotto habe ich auch Fortschrittsmarker für euch: supersüße kleine Kürbisse ♥ Die kleinen Anhänger eignen sich perfekt zum Zählen von Runden, aber auch als kleine Aufmerksamkeit beim Stricktreffen.

Wichtig: Ich kann noch nicht sagen, wie lange die Halloweenfärbung zur Vorbestellung verfügbar sein wird - das werde ich spontan entscheiden müssen.

Yes, you're right, it's still a little bit until Halloween - but this year's Halloween colourway will be available for pre-order, so that everyone has the chance to get a skein or two. And that's why there's a Halloween update this week :)

On the right in the picture you can see it, the Halloween colourway for 2018: Warlock. You can pre-order it tomorrow and then I'll start dyeing. It is dyed on my Bot Socks base, because this special colour is ideal for knitting socks: One half of the skein is black, the other half is speckles with orange, purple and green dyes.Now you can decide if you want to knit socks that you can wear on Halloween or if you want to cast on a new project out of this yarn on that day ;)

I also have Halloween Kits for you on my Mini Bots: Such a package contains 6 mini skeins of about 10g each in the colours Grapefruit (orange), Wizard (purple) and Don't be shy (green). These colours go wonderfully with Warlock and I have a lot of ideas what you could make out of them: For socks you can of course use Warlock for the main part and then design the cuff, heel and toe with the minis. Or you can knit socks with Warlock, but knit every other round with one of the minis. Or you can knit small pumpkins from Grapefruit ;)

Pumpkins, my keyword :) In keeping with the Halloween motto I also have progress markers for you: super sweet little pumpkins ♥ These small charms are perfect for counting rounds, but also as a small present when going to a knitting group.

Important: I can't say how long the Halloween colourway will be available for pre-ordering - I will have to decide that spontaneously.

Und für alle Halloweenmuffel unter euch habe ich auch ein paar Soft Socks :) Insgesamt sind es nur vier Färbungen, die aber, wie ich finde, herrlich zusammen passen.

Links seht ihr Vigour, ganz unten rechts Don't be shy, die hellgrauen Stränge sind Rauchzeichen und ganz oben rechts, das ist eine ooak Färbung, also eine Farbe, die ich nicht wiederholen kann.

Habe ich noch etwas vergessen? Zum morgigen Update habe ich eigentlich alles Wichtige gesagt. In der Schibot Garne Gruppe auf Ravelry wird schon fleißig gestrickt, denn dort läuft ja der Knit Along zum Tuch Arinna. Ihr habt noch genug Zeit mitzumachen, denn er endet erst Ende Oktober. Schaut vorbei, ich freue mich!

And for all of you who are not into Halloween, I also have some Soft Socks :) Altogether there are only four colours, which, however, I think, fit wonderfully together.

On the left you see Vigour, at the bottom right Don't be shy, the light grey skeins are called Rauchzeichen and at the top right, this is an ooak colour, thus a colour that I cannot repeat.

Did I forget something else? I actually said everything I needed to say about tomorrow's update. In the Schibot Garne Group on Ravelry we are already busy knitting, because there is our Knit Along running for the Arinna shawl.You still have enough time to join, because it doesn't end until the end of October. I'd be happy if you stop by!
