Knigge - Table Runner by Schibot Garne - a knitting pattern for a table runner, in German and English.
ABOUT THIS PATTERN:
You can knit socks, gloves, sweaters, hats, shawls – everything you can wear. But you can also make your own home a little prettier.
In order to have it especially festive and Christmassy at the dining table, I came up with the idea of knitting a table runner that would match the colour but also the size of the table.
This pattern shows you how to work the table runner as shown in the picture (approx. 29cm x 82cm). It also contains tips on how to use the instructions to knit the table runner longer or wider or to make placemats – just the way you like it.
The pattern itself is quite simple and can be worked with few decreases and increases, yarn overs as well as knit and purl stitches. You can knit the lace pattern according to either the chart or the written instructions.
In the end the pattern describes how to get the table runner into shape by steam-blocking it.
By the way: Such a table runner is also a nice gift idea - not only for Christmas ;)
Happy knitting! I look forward to seeing your work!
