Course offering Fuel Courses Manufacturing and Testing of Pellets
Objectives:
Provide a detailed knowledge on pellets manufacturing and testing.
Content:
The training consists of the following topics related to nuclear fuel pellets:
- Manufacturing of pellets starting from uranium ore
- Requirements for pellet quality
- Testing methods in manufacturing
- Types of nuclear fuel
- UO2, Gd2O3, Cr-doped fuel, ERU, MOX
The contents, the format (see hereafter), and the duration are adapted according to the customer request and needs.
The courses can be organized according to different formats:
- Instructor led classroom / lab
- E-learning
- Webinar
The course materials are based on the most up-to-date world-wide Framatome know-how to provide to our attendees the highest quality on the technical content of our courses.
The teaching material includes interactive PowerPoint presentations and hands-on exercises. The training can also comprise guided visits of manufacturing and laboratory facilities.
The instructors come from the Framatome GmbH Fuel Engineering site. Their knowledge is based on years of experience in engineering service activities, as well as on the specific competences necessary for the training.
