Hans-Jürgen Philipp: born in 1964 in Kirchen Sieg, grew up in the northern Westerwald. At the age of 9, Philipp learned to play the trumpet in the Freusburg Music Association and was later accepted into the Hilden Music Training Corps. In 1985 he moved to the HMK 300 Military Band in Koblenz. During his military service, Philipp learned the basics of composing for various ensembles. From 1992 he studied theology, Germanistic and music at the University of Siegen for teaching. Hans-Jürgen Philipp is now teacher for High Schools and Vocational Colleges since 1999.
